I do think the pilot should have been two parts, like a side by side story. Jaime living her life and the creators showing her life as it was. Looking after her sister, bartending and just being a young woman with modern day dilemma's. The other side could have been showing Will and the team working on Sarah Corvus etc technology and Berkut business. The two sides of life, Jaime's normal life and Will's scientific life which "we" the audience know they are going to connect and confuse both parties on coming to an understanding of a situation.
The original Jaime Sommers took weeks to learn how to use her implants, modern Jaime just got out of the bed and walked to a mirror to say "boo". lol
Some of it didn't show the pain or effort of such an adjustment to Jaime's life. If the pilot had of had the two stories running along side each other and then they cross over into themselves it would have been easier to warm to modern day Jaime. For the record I loved the new Bionic Woman anyway but I do see what some critics are expressing about the show.

It's such a shame it got caught up in the writers strike, it could have learned by critism on it's first journey what the audience wants out of the show giving it time to be just as good as the first time way back in the 70's with our lovely original Jaime Sommers....Lindsay Wagner.

It wasn't meant to be but at least we now have a chance to own the series on DVD. Something good out of something unfortunate.
